1960s Mid-Century Modern Walnut Executive Credenza by Charles Deaton for Leopold

This amazing credenza is part of the Template Group series of furniture designed by architect/designer Charles Deaton for the Leopold furniture Company. Deaton is best known for designing the iconic 'Sculpture House' located on Genesee Mountain in Colorado. This amazing piece of Space Age, Minimalist architecture was even featured in the 1973 Woody Allen movie Sleeper. Desk features walnut veneered cabinets, brass hardware, white Formica top and finished back. With its understated design and architectural influence, this credenza would make a wonderful addition to any mid century interior.

Good. Replacements made: New white Formica top replaced faux wood grain. Wear consistent with age and use. very nice, restored condition. Near perfect Formica top with minor wear to brass-plate hardware and cabinet edges.
